Random Costco News of the Week: Thanksgiving, Costco Crowd, and Bear Day

Costco has been getting lots of props this week for staying closed on Thanksgiving. I'm not sure why this is considered such a good thing. To me, it seems the normal way of doing business, but I guess that's changing?

One of my favorite Costco news items this week was this editorial in the Seattle Times, a Seattle doctor gives his opinion on the Costco Crowd.  Dr. Letterie talks about the fun of shopping with the diverse folks at Costco, and draws parallels to the larger society.  I'm with him; I get this same happiness wandering around Costco.
