Ikebana

In 1956, when I was eleven, we moved to Tachikawa, Japan for three years. My Dad was career Air Force.

My Mom took classes in ikebana, Japanese flower arranging. I remember she taught me the importance of three height elements: earth, man and heaven.

I'm pretty sure the container in the photo is a relict from those ikebana classes.

The Costco daffodil bulbs that were planted in the fall look good, I think.
